The nation's largest bank, Bank of America, just announced that it will be forcing its customers to pay a new $5 fee every month -- just to use a debit card.

This is the same bank that nearly tanked our economy with their reckless behavior, took $45 billion in taxpayer money, has kicked tens of thousands of families out of their homes, and has been repeatedly criticized for gouging consumers.

Bank of America's announcement this week about its new $5 debit card fee was no coincidence. On Saturday, new federal laws went into effect prohibiting the bank from charging fees that were deemed unfair. In order to maintain their record profits, Bank of America's solution was to invent a new, unregulated fee to gouge its customers with.

Even if you're not a Bank of America customer, this should matter to you. We are demanding that Bank of America cancel the bank’s new $5 month debit card fee. Our billboard will loudly proclaim the public’s intolerance of Wall Street's newest way squeeze our pockets -- and that we WILL take our money elsewhere.

Our billboard is planned to go up in Charlotte, SC in close proximity to the Bank of America headquarters. Our ad will raise awareness, pressure Bank of America to cancel it’s new fee, and dissuade other banks from taking the same path. We must make our voices heard loud and clear - we will not be taken advantage of.
