Thanks everybody! We are looking at several good locations for the billboard right now. Any more donations that come in will help us secure a better spot. But it's looking like whatever location we get it will have at least 300,000 daily views. So millions of people will see this!

Thank you Ian- Im glad you liked the new billboard design. I know Gal way back from high school- when I received his letter of this amazing campaign that he created I wanted to offer my graphic design help and pitched the new billboard. The most important thing, like you stated, is that the billboard be educational and striking so that viewers would become aware of an issue that they may not know of. Gal should be commended for this wonderful idea...and I would be honored if my billboard design would cause passer-byers to look twice before walking away. Free Gilad Shalit B"H"

I also think it's important that the design say more than just "Free Gilad". For people who aren't aware of Gilad's capture and imprisonment, saying only "Free Gilad" isn't informative.

I agree Ian, the new design is great and this is strictly a humanitarian issue, and I think more design options are coming soon. Please continue to tell your friends and family about this, we still have a way to go before its funded.

I really like the new "Free Gilad Shalit" design... Great work! I think its important that the final design not show Gilad in uniform because we want people to look at this issue as a humanitarian issue and not a military one.

Last night I spoke with the Shalit family's campaign manager in Israel. They are very happy to see this campaign, really appreciate the support and they really want the billboard to go up! This is a brilliant idea. Perhaps the design should be more explicit about the situation? You have all this billboard space to show the people of Manhattan and the UN what's going on. "Free Gilad Now" seems a bit vague and most people just dont know who Gilad is. Good work though, I'm so happy to contribute to this effort.
